Our Mission |
Our mission is to reconnect the descendants of Obeya and the larger Ayi'Onyema family Worldwide. From a family of over thirty brothers and sisters, an extended family of thousands now exist all over the world. This website endeavors to tell the story of this family and it's contribution to the development of the country called Nigeria. It's sons and daughters are found all over the world and in Nigeria contributing to the development of the societies in which they find themselves, taking proudly, that name by which they are called. They can be found in the fields of business, sports, science, engineering, academia, military and entertainment.
The Ayi'Onyema family has a Country Representative in every major country in the world. He/She is the person responsible for all the descendants of Obeya there. In each Province or State of the host country their also is a provincial Coordinator serving under the auspices of the Country Representative. The overall decision making body of the family is headed by a Chairman who must be a natural male descendant of an Obeya son.
Our association welcomes you to participate in the development of the family as we move into the 21st century.
We believe in God and his purposes for our being. We therefore call on his name to bless us, and guide us in all our endeavors.
